Required Data

TradeRonin automatically detects these from your MT4 report:

  • Ticket — Unique trade identifier
  • Open Time — Entry timestamp
  • Close Time — Exit timestamp
  • Type — Buy or Sell
  • Size — Lot size
  • Item — Symbol/Instrument
  • Open Price — Entry fill price
  • Close Price — Exit fill price
  • Commission, Swap, Profit — Trade costs and P&L

How It Works

MT4 exports complete trades with entry and exit in one row. TradeRonin automatically:

  • Creates an entry execution at the open time/price
  • Creates an exit execution at the close time/price
  • Distributes fees proportionally between entry and exit
  • Groups executions using the matching engine

Troubleshooting

"No valid trades found"

  • Ensure you have closed trades in your history (open trades are not imported)
  • Use "Save as Report", not "Save as Detailed Report"
  • Check that your date range includes trades

"File format not supported"

  • Save as HTML format (.htm or .html)
  • Do NOT use CSV, PDF, or Excel exports

Missing trades

  • Expand your date range in MT4 before exporting
  • Set to "All History" to include all trades

Duplicate Trades

Re-uploading the same file won't create duplicates. TradeRonin uses the Ticket number for deduplication.
